Distinguished Service Award
Dr. Wilbert Ronald

The NDNGLA Distinguished Service Award for 2018 was presented to Dr. Wilbert Ronald of Jeffries Nurseries at the Annual Convention Banquet.  Dr. Ronald is a graduate in plant science from the University of Manitoba and worked i horticulture research at the Morden Canada Research Station before taking over Jeffries Nurseries near Portage la Prairie in 1982.  He has helped develop and release many excellent tree and shrub varieties, and his many contributions to the industry were highlighted in a wonderful presentation made by Dr. Dale Herman.
